Elizabeth C. Surin, Esq.
As an accomplished immigration lawyer and an immigrant with personal experience with the U.S. Immigration Service, Elizabeth has worked extensively with businesses and individuals with immigration issues in all settings.
Before establishing her current immigration law practice, she was a Labor & Employment Litigator and Immigration Attorney in Philadelphia at the main office of the law firm of Drinker Biddle & Reath, LLP. While there, Elizabeth developed the firm’s business and employment immigration practice, advising corporate clients on current legal issues in business immigration and the practical application of the law in various employment situations.
In addition to working extensively in business and family-based immigration issues, Elizabeth represents clients in immigration court in removal proceedings and in appeal matters including federal appeals.
She has written for academic law journals and is also a frequent speaker at conferences on immigration law. Elizabeth is a member of the Executive Committee of the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers' Association (AILA). She also volunteers regularly at the Pennsylvania Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians counseling indigents in immigration and related employment issues.
Elizabeth graduated from Wellesley College summa cum laude and the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and is conversant in the Malay and Indonesian languages.
